State Science and Technology Minister Arjun Modhwadia witnessed the signing, highlighting Gujarat's push for digital infrastructure.
Project Overview
Project Overview

L&T Vyoma will invest ₹25,000 crore to build the 250 MW green data centre in phases at Dholera SIR, ensuring scalability based on demand. The Gujarat Department of Science and Technology will oversee feasibility studies, land suitability, infrastructure readiness, and sustainability benchmarks. This project aligns with Gujarat's IT/ITeS Policy 2022-27 and India's goals for sustainable AI infrastructure.

Key features include:

  • AI-ready design for high-performance computing.
  • Green energy integration, complementing Dholera Solar Park.
  • Phased rollout starting 2028 for efficient execution.

Strategic Location: Dholera SIR

Dholera SIR, one of India's largest planned smart cities, offers modern infrastructure, industrial corridors, and excellent connectivity via Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway and Dholera International Airport. It hosts complementary projects like the TATA Semiconductor plant, boosting the region's tech ecosystem. The site's planned zones for industrial, commercial, and utility development minimize execution challenges for large-scale initiatives.

This positions Dholera as a hub for AI, semiconductors, and renewables, attracting global investors.

Economic and Technological Impact

The data centre will create jobs, foster innovation in AI and cloud services, and support India's data sovereignty under PM Narendra Modi's 'MANAV' AI vision. It strengthens Gujarat's role in the national digital economy, with potential for further hyperscale expansions. Investors gain from Dholera's structured growth, reliable power, and policy support.
